Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. This policy explains how Brim Collection collects, uses, communicates, and discloses personal information.

Our principles

• Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.
• We will collect and use personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.
• We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.
• We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.
• Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
• We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
• We will make readily available to customers information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

What we collect on this site

• Quote request form — your name, business or group name, email address, phone number if you give one, the details of the job you are asking about, and any artwork file you attach. We use this to price your job and reply to you.
• Web chat — the name, email address, phone number, and message content you choose to give us when you start a chat, so we can answer your question or prepare a quote.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and roughly which region they are in. Your IP address is anonymized. We have enabled Google Analytics' advertising features (Google Signals), which uses data from Google accounts that have Ads Personalization turned on to give us aggregated insight into the ages, interests and devices of our visitors; you can turn this off for your own account at google.com/settings/ads.
• Session analytics — we use PostHog and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site performs: which pages are viewed, what is clicked, how far people scroll, and anonymised recordings of how visitors move through pages. Anything you type into forms is masked in your browser before it is sent and is not part of these recordings.

Advertising measurement

We advertise Brim Collection on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and may also advertise on TikTok and Google. To know which adverts actually bring people to us, we use each platform's measurement tools:

• The platform's pixel runs in your browser, sets a cookie identifying that browser, and reports the pages you view here.
• When you send us a quote request, our server also reports to the platform that a request was made, along with your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page you sent it from, and the general shape of the job you asked about.
• So the platform can recognise whether an advert it showed you led to an enquiry, we also send a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) version of the contact details you typed: your email address, phone number, name, and ZIP code. Scrambling is one-way — the platform can only compare the scrambled value against accounts it already holds. It cannot read the details themselves, and we never send them in readable form.
• We keep the advertising click identifiers from the links you arrive on (for example Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid) in a first-party cookie on this site for up to 30 days, so the right advert gets credit if you come back later to send a quote.

We use this only to measure and improve our own advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How we use it

We use the information above to respond to your enquiry, to prepare quotes and orders you ask us for, and to keep you updated on a job that is in progress. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run this site and our customer conversations. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Cloudflare — website hosting.
• HighLevel (LeadConnector) — the web chat widget, the quote form, and the CRM where our conversations with you are stored.
• Google Analytics — measurement of how the site is used, as described above.
• PostHog — product analytics and session recordings, with form entries masked in your browser.
• Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps, with form entries masked.
• Meta — advertising measurement, as described above.
• TikTok — advertising measurement, as described above, only while we advertise there.
• Google Ads — advertising measurement, as described above, only while we advertise there.

SMS & mobile information

• Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will never be shared with, or sold to, any third party.
• We do not share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors who support us — for example customer-service providers — is permitted.
• One exception, described under Advertising measurement above: a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) version of your phone number may be shared with the advertising platforms we use, solely so we can measure our own advertising. It is never shared in readable form and never used for any third party's own marketing.

SMS consent, opt-out ("STOP"), and help ("HELP") terms are set out in section 10 of our Terms & Conditions.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To do that, email us and we will action it.

We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.
